 7 Deadly Days

This excerpt includes a short story of Lauren Duthie's writing of 7 Deadly Days. A piece about finding how to be the best person they can be. Originally written for Ms. Snyder's 10th-grade honors English class.

"The best part was piecing it all together. Each chapter was a different sin that the main character sought to overcome."

- Lauren Duthie

"Later, that evening, after Genesis sent me the address and I had a long talk with ma, im at the Church. And, what I did not expect would be my most memorable life changing event I've ever had. The speaker at the time felt like he was retelling all of my thoughts and doubts out loud, and completely diminished them. All the enduring queries I had about religion were answered that night. And the next mission they gave me was to retell my story. They didn't cure my disease, or even my ma, but they cured an ache I never realized I had. Without Genesis, I wouldn't be who I am today. Without the Church I wouldn't be able to inspire others to follow a path of life and not the seven deadly sins as shown in this world."
